Congrats to Allen Iverson and his wife, Tawanna, (really, she did all the work!) on the birth of their new baby girl, named Dream Alijah Iverson. She is the youngest of five children in the Iverson family. Big family!

Old vs. New

My dad still likes to go up to the ticket window, wait in line, and buy his tickets in person. He says it makes whatever game he's attending feel more real. By "real" he means "old-fashioned." But these days you never know if a game will be sold out when you get there. Plus, I like knowing ahead of time where I'm sitting. So I buy my sports tickets online every time. They arrive in my mail, or even my email. I know I've got a seat, and I know where it is. And then I've got more time to wait in the important line - the beer one. :)

I get YouTube alerts when Nuggets videos pop up. Not sure why this one just got posted, but I checked it out. Man, it still pisses me off to watch this:

Bobbleheads

I got some Rockies MLB tickets for tomorrow's game, and it turns out it's Matt Holliday Bobblehead night. Ha. My nephew will love it.

What is the deal with bobbleheads? They came out of nowhere several years ago, and now you can even bobble yourself! I do have to admit they make me laugh a little, so I guess that's all it takes for a phenomenon to take off.

Go Carmelo!

I had completely forgotten that Carmelo Anthony was on the team for the last Olympics, too. I was reading this article about him going to Beijing, and it talked about his last performance. He was Male Athlete of the Year! Now he's got more experience, so I'm hoping he'll lead our team to the gold. Good luck!
